Ingredients:
Meatballs:
3 lbs hamburger
5 oz milk
2 cups oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoon chili pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2-3 teaspoons salt
2 eggs
Sauce:
2 cups ketchup
1 1/2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup chopped onion
Directions:
Mix meatball ingredients. Shape into 1" balls. Put in a 9"x13" pan. Mix up sauce and pour over meatballs. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
*I scoop mine with a #16 scoop I bought at Gordon Food Service, and 1 recipe made about 22 meatballs.
*They are a little on the spicy side, and sometimes my little people complain about it.
*These freeze great, and are on of my favorite dishes to take- we like them with cheesy potatoes.
*I've froze them two different ways, 1: followed the directions and put them in the freezer instead of the oven, and, 2: Froze the meatballs on a cookie sheet, then tossed in a ziploc bag to save space in my freezer. This is a great way to make ahead and get out only what you need. I've frozen the sauce separately as well.
