Blonde Brownie



Blonde Brownies

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups all  purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine softened
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 12oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions: 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease 15"x10" jelly roll pan.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.  Beat sugar and butter in mixing bowl until creamy.  Add eggs and vanilla.  Slowly add flour mixture and mix until well blended.  Stir in chocolate chips.

Spread evenly in jelly roll pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.  Let cool in pan.

* I usually use at least 1/2 whole wheat flour, if not all whole wheat.
* real butter!
* and real vanilla when I have it from my sister in law!
